Data Privacy Statement
We want visitors to our sites know what kind of data we collect and how it is used.
InnoMatLife is a research project funded by the BMBF. The project is hosted with an Internet presence under the domain www.innomatlife.de. The pages inform the interested public about the content, objectives and progress of the research project. In addition, further information about the research project will be made available.
Which kind of data is processed, and on which basis, depends on the purpose for which it is needed.
1. Who is responsible for data processing and who can I contact?
Responsible acc. Art. 4 para. 7 DS-GVO is IBE gGmbH, represented by CEO Prof. Dr. Martin Wiemann, (see Imprint).
2. What personal data is processed in connection with the visit to our website?
2.1 Range of data collection
Each time the project websites are called, the system automatically collects data and information from the computer system of the calling computer.
The following data are collected:
• IP address of the user
• The Internet service provider of the user (ISP)
• Date and time of the request
• Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
• Content of the request (concrete page)
• Access status / HTTP status code
• Amount of transferred data
• Information about the browser type and version
This data is also stored in the log files of the system. Not affected by this is the IP address of a user or other data that allow a direct assignment between data and user. Storage of this data, together with other personal data of the user, does not take place.
The legal basis for the temporary storage of data and log files is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e or f DS-GMO.
2.2 Purpose of data processing
The temporary storage of the IP address by the system is necessary to allow delivery of the website to the computer of the user. Therefore the IP address of the user must be stored for the duration of the session.
The storage in a log file is done to ensure the functionality of the website. In addition, the data is used to optimize the website and to ensure the security of the information technology system.
An evaluation of the data does not take place. But we reserve the right to check this data retrospectively, if we become aware of concrete indications of an unlawful act.
2.3 Duration of storage
The data will be deleted as soon as the purpose for its collection is no longer necessary.
In case of collecting the data for providing the website, they are deleted when the session is completed.
In addition, they can be stored too if they are provided for by the European or national legislature, in EU regulations, laws or other regulations to which the owner of this domain is subject.
A deletion of the data takes place even if a storage period prescribed by the mentioned standards expires. But storage of the data over a longer period is possible. In this case, the IP address of the user is removed or anonymised, so that an assignment of the calling client is no longer possible.
2.4 Opposition and removal option
The collection of the data for the provision of the website and the storage of the data in log files is essential for the correct operation of the website. Therefore a possible contradiction by the users of this website is not available.
3. Use of cookies
The websites of this project did NOT use any cookies.
4. E-Mail contact
4.1 Description and range of data processing
The email addresses on our website can be used for electronic contact.
If a visitor of our sites uses this option, some personal data of this user are transmitted by email and will be stored. There is no disclosure of this data to third parties in this context. The data is used exclusively for processing the email conversation.
Please note that data transmission over the Internet (e.g. when sending an e-mail) may have security vulnerabilities. Therefore, complete data protection from access by third parties is not possible.
4.2 Legal basis for data processing
Legal basis for the processing of data by sending an e-mail
Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.
4.3 Purpose of data processing
The processing of personal data from the e-mail is solely for processing the contact. In case of contact by email, this is the necessary legitimate interest in the processing of the data.
4.4 Duration of storage
The data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer necessary to achieve the purpose of its collection. For the personal data sent by email, this is the case when the respective conversation with the user has ended. The conversation ends when it can be inferred from the circumstances that the matter in question has been finally clarified.
4.5 Opposition and removal option
The user has the opportunity to revoke his consent to processing this personal data at any time. If a user contacts us by e-mail, he may object the storage of his personal data at any time. In this case, the conversation cannot continue and all personal data that are stored in the course of contacting us, will be deleted.
